Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE) – Form 2555

Individuals file Form 2555 to claim the foreign-earned income exclusion. This exclusion allows individuals to deduct a portion of their foreign-earned income from their taxable income in the United States.

To qualify for the exclusion, you must have foreign-earned income and meet certain criteria, such as being a U.S. citizen or resident alien who is either a bona fide resident of a foreign country or countries for an uninterrupted period that includes the entire tax year, or physically present in a foreign country or countries for at least 330 full days during a 12-month period.

To claim the exclusion, you must include Form 2555 with your tax return.
